Can't move files in Linux Mint

@@mastrmind11, @@Jdiesel I just installed EMBY on my Linux Mint. I am trying to move video files to a folder that EMBY would accept. When I try to drag the files to the correct folder, it gives me an error message so I can't move the files.

Is there a particular folder I should be using for the media files? Is there a better way to move them?

I am new to Linux so I don't have a lot of experience.

What is the best directory for EMBY video files? I am trying to figure out where I should store my media files in Mint Linux.

You can store them wherever you want, the key is making sure emby has access to the folder(s).  Since you're dragging files, can I assume you're new to linux and need a step by step on how to do this?

You are correct. I am new to Linux and am not familiar with permissions.

Does this help?

Does what help? There is nothing in your post that helps. You might have forgotten to add something.

The response is to put the media files where you like and then just ensure that the emby system user has permissions to them. Does that answer your question? Do you know how to set file permissions?
