brofjst 0 Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 (edited) Hi guys.As the title says, for most of my movies, emby does not show subtitles: i've found this bug on both windows and linux. Most of my movies are h265 .mkv and when i run a movie, emby shows me the list of avaible subtitles, but when i select them they do not appear.I post an image here just to be more clear Edited July 31, 2019 by brofjst

Luke 42086 Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. thanks !
brofjst 0 Posted August 3, 2019 Author Posted August 3, 2019 I'm hosting an emby server on both Arch Linux and Windows, i'm still choosing which OS to use as primary.I watch movies from Firefox (latest version avaible on Arch Linux or Windows), emby android app (actual version 3.0.64) or the emby app installed on my Smart tv (at the moment i cant tell you the version, if this could be useful i'll add this information in the next days). The issue appears in all of these platforms, for the same movies so i think the problem could be caused from server side. I post HERE my log file at the moment when i tried to launch a movie and switch subtitles. For every movie in which i find a subtitles issue with emby (which are many), if i launch them with VLC the subtitles works correctly.

Thanks !
brofjst 0 Posted November 27, 2019 Author Posted November 27, 2019 Sorry if i'm late, i've forgot to answer xD The issue still persists. Here https://gofile.io/?c=RyJ7jY you can find the full log file.I've also recorded a short video just to show the issue, you can find it here https://streamable.com/5x91p
brofjst 0 Posted December 28, 2019 Author Posted December 28, 2019 Update: sometimes emby loads the subtitles but incorrectly, they are shown out of sync respect the audio. If i open the same video with vlc the subs works correctly.
Luke 42086 Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 @@brofjst, it says the upload does not exist. What is the format of the subtitles? Are the embedded or external?
brofjst 0 Posted February 27, 2020 Author Posted February 27, 2020 The issue is gone, maybe a recent update solved the issue, thank you!
