port changed in hosting but not affecting

Recommended Posts

i have a server on laptop and its port set to 80 and its working.

but my android server sticks at default port, when setting showing my specified port set.

What to do?

Did you restart the server?

no restart option in Android server... just shutdown and started again... no change

What this means is that the server is not getting authorization to use that port on your device, and therefore it's automatically switching back to default. In all honestly, we haven't tested changing the port on an android server device, so it might require some research over permissions you might have to grant. What device is this?

forcing to 8096. but why?

Posted

Because the server is being denied access to use the port you want to use. Are you sure it's not already in use on the device?

Posted

sir i think its a bug

i have tried on other android but same problem.

i have tried other port no result.

is here any user who changed his port successfully on android server?

Posted

I don't believe it is a bug. I think it is just being denied access.
