phydeaux24 0 Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 Found an interesting issue. Tv shows and music are scanning and adding just fine. New movies added to my folder are not being found at all. Period. All permissions are good and the movies that the original library scan play just fine. For a little background, I have SABnzbd create a new folder for each movie inside my movies folder. I have nzbtomedia script create new folders inside the tv shows folder, yadda yadda yadda. Looking into this I noticed that the folders inside the movies folder do not have emby permissions. Changed permissions and they scan and populate into the library just fine. Oddly enough, the tv show folders (created inside the tv shows folder) are also created without emby permissions but they scan and populate just fine. @@mastrmind11 I obviously need someone smarter than myself.
Luke 42079 Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 Looking into this I noticed that the folders inside the movies folder do not have emby permissions. How do the permissions compare between the two levels?

Absolutely nothing I add to the ~/Movies folder is being picked up during a scan. ~/Tv Shows permissions are exactly the same for root and sub folders but they scan and populate just fine.
mastrmind11 722 Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 just do a recursive chown at the top level of whatever you want emby to have access to. chown -R jeff:emby
