ebr 16183 Posted August 8, 2019 Posted August 8, 2019 23:07 was 19:00 EDT?? I cannot find a report from that user - ever. Are you sure that is the local Emby user account?
b0dyr0ck2006 57 Posted August 8, 2019 Author Posted August 8, 2019 I don’t know what ‘EDT’ is, I just googled the time: 23:00 gmt to edt [emoji2371] The local user Emby connect name is b0dyr0ck, the local user display name is Colin. Perhaps I did something wrong? I’m sure it said report sent Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
ebr 16183 Posted August 8, 2019 Posted August 8, 2019 Sorry - EDT = Eastern Daylight Time. That is the timzone for the logs we receive so, when you report the time you send a log, I need to be able to translate that to the time that the log will actually have - or, I can sometimes find it with the local user - but that is the LOCAL user not the Connect user. I know - all confusing and we are gonna rectify that at some point. In any case, "colin" was what I needed. Thanks. 1

ebr 16183 Posted August 8, 2019 Posted August 8, 2019 is this something I can rectify my end? Hard to know for sure. I know nVidia screwed up some things with the wireless network in 8.0 but you said you are wired.
b0dyr0ck2006 57 Posted August 8, 2019 Author Posted August 8, 2019 Yeah, everything is in the same room. The server is running off a pc system which is direct wired to a network switch, the shield is feet away and directly wired into the same switch. All other streaming apps seem to work ok on the shield, but they are pulling directly from the internet so maybe nvidia has cocked something up with the internal network transfer heads. I’ll try switching to Wifi and see if that makes any difference as a test I’ve been browsing here and nvidia forums and it seems they have seriously dropped the ball on the updates from 7.2 onwards and have busted quite a few things which is a shame as the unit has been faultless Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
vdatanet 1617 Posted August 9, 2019 Posted August 9, 2019 (edited) Hard to know for sure. I know nVidia screwed up some things with the wireless network in 8.0 but you said you are wired. Looking Nvidia Forums, Wired connections issues are also common on Experience 8.0 update, It's seems Nvidia Shield Networking is completely broken (in some cases) Edited August 9, 2019 by vdatanet
