BillOatman 596 Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 Not sure if this a problem with Emby server, clients, or the xmltv programme entry, This is the xmltv entry: <programme channel="499" start="20190729043000 +0100" stop="20190729080000 +0100"> <title lang="">Etapa 21: Rambouillet / Paris Champs-Élysées (127 km, llano)</title> <desc lang="">Sea parte de la competición ciclista por etapas disputada a lo largo de la geografía francesa en el mes de julio, perteneciente al calendario UCI WorldTour, la máxima categoría de las carreras profesionales</desc> <category lang="">Sports</category> <episode-num system="original-air-date">2019-07-29 04:30:00</episode-num> <icon src="http://picon.helixhosting.ninja/26213.png"></icon> <language></language> <video> <present>yes</present> <colour>yes</colour> </video> <date></date> </programme> Some characters are being escaped and displayed in the guide UI. This shot is from my Shield. Latest release version on Windows server and Shield. This also happens if you select the channel and the popup with the Play and Record buttons are displayed. But I cannot get a screenshot of that on my Shield. I also happens exactly the same in Emby Theater.
BillOatman 596 Posted July 29, 2019 Author Posted July 29, 2019 Web app being Emby theater? It behaves the same way as the shield.
ebr 16187 Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 That XML entry does not appear to match what you are showing us in the UI. The titles are different as are the channel numbers...
BillOatman 596 Posted July 29, 2019 Author Posted July 29, 2019 (edited) Oh yeah, it was on multiple channels. I just searched for Champs-Élysées Which is the problem area, and would be the same in both entries. But if you like, I can try and find another example. That particular program is over though. BillOatman 596 Posted July 29, 2019 Author Posted July 29, 2019 I copy/pasted those characters into the xmltv file. Emby Theater displayed it fine: I'll try the shield when I get a chance. If that works I'll look closer at the software that creates the xmltv file (xTeVe).
Luke 42083 Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 Make sure the resulting xml file passes an xml validator as well.
BillOatman 596 Posted July 30, 2019 Author Posted July 30, 2019 Well, the shield displayed it perfectly as well. So I don't know what happened the other day When/if I see it again, I'll post again.
ebr 16187 Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 My guess is the actual guide data in the XML file was that way. 1
BillOatman 596 Posted August 3, 2019 Author Posted August 3, 2019 FYI you were correct @@ebr. I saw another instance tonight, and it was indeed in the xmltv file that way. 1
BillOatman 596 Posted August 5, 2019 Author Posted August 5, 2019 Web app being Emby theater? It behaves the same way as the shield. Yup.. Everything behaves the same because it is correct behavior. My xmltv did not have Champs-Élysées, it had Champs-\uooc9lys\uooe9es. Which was what was displayed. The xmltv file generator was to blame. 1
