Hi,

since the new Emby Server version I don't hear any DTS audio, Dolby audio still works fine.

The problem is with all the Emby client apps and also via Kodi.

The same video plays perfect on VLC.

Is it a bug or a problem on my side I don't see?

Description: I start a video with DTS audio via Emby app or Kodi (with Emby for Kodi), Video is visible but audio isn't present. I start a video with Dolby audio and everything is fine.

I started the same videos with VLC (on Nvidia Shield TV) and everything is fine.

There are no error messages.

The problem only exists on my Nvidia Shield TV, on Windows and Linux it works like it should.

The video I tried was from "The Newsroom" S01E04.mkv.

Hi.  The other apps are transcoding (and probably converting the audio) while the Shield app is direct playing the item.

Did you change any settings on the Shield or the way it is connected to audio equipment?  What kind of equipment is it connected to?

I didn't change any settings on the Shield since 6 months and more and the audio equipment is the same since 2016.

And if I play a video with DTS via VLC on the Shield, everything is fine.

What kind of equipment is it connected to?

An AVR, connected via HDMI. And LAN, via ethernet cable. Nothing more is attached to the Shield.

At the AVR, there is a LG TV, a media receiver from my IPTV provider and an Amazon Fire TV. Oh, and a UHD Blu Ray player.

And all these devices are present since May 2016.

Based on the logs we can see, it looks like we are sending the audio to the AVR untouched.

What does the display on the receiver say when this item is playing?

It shows nothing ...

But it seems that my AVR setup is broken, I will reset it and re-run the init process tomorrow.

After that I will report again!
