Question - why some folders can‘t be ‚identified‘?

I have a Library type Mixed

Has folders mostly tv series, in these folders are mkv‘s

Some folders behave as expected with respect to metadata

Some folders however have no ‚identify‘ option and if you select Edit Metadata, there are no fields for External ID‘s

Any help appreciated

Ah ha

I think I know what the distinguishing factor is

TV Series where this is happening are those where there is only one series and the episodes are just titled E01 Name instead of S01E01 Name

there needs to be either a season folder or an episode underneath.

Ideally yes, but it can be hard to tell the difference between a series folder and just a plain folder with a video inside. That's why we have naming conventions to help deal with that.

Couldn’t you simply give the user the option to mark a folder as a TV series, that hasn‘t been recognised by the algorithm? And then mark the metadata up manually?
