Disappearing emby

Morning all

 

Last night windows server just disappeared off my pc.

 

Memu and desktop shortcuts Coundnt find the program.

 

No trace on the pc at all.

 

This morning redownloaded emby and didn't have to do a clean setup. It just ran as if nothing had happened.

 

Emby and windows systems were upto date.

 

Any insights to this would be grateful thanks.

Hi, so it sounds like it's still there but your windows start menu shortcuts just disappeared? Does that sound right? What version of windows?

That sounds like the case luke, windows 10 latest version.

Just remembered there was avast home update between when emby was used and when the short cuts disappeared, could that be the cause what do you think?

Yes if they flagged the server as a false positive, could be.

How would I be able to find out if emby has flagged?

Well i haven't used avast in a long time but i would imagine it has an activity viewer.

Checked avast vault and there's nothing in there to do with emby, so it could be the case of a OS issue my end, avast update could have been just a coincidence.
