trtrtrtr 5 Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 Hi, just updated to latest and greatest. Unfortunately I had recently played around with beta - but since it broke chromecast on android, I rolled back to stable version again, and now updated. The shows added in the former Emby server before this update, cannot be saved in the new db you added. Meaning when I watch them or press "watched" sign, it just blink red and act like the shows has not been played. Old shows/movies that was added before I migrated back from beta works. Also the viewed list is not my updated one, I can see it's from when I had emby beta installed. So all view history is not migrated over. I rolled back from this beta; 4.2.0.31. tldr; Ran beta, migrated back to 4.1 server - updated today to latest 4.2 - Movies added in between cannot be marked watched or remember where you watched to. The embyserver.txt log is crazy big, do you just want me to upload this? How can I trim it to just have "the issue" shown. I'm running this on a qnap.
Luke 42085 Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 Hi there, yes please attach the emby server log. thanks.
trtrtrtr 5 Posted July 26, 2019 Author Posted July 26, 2019 Here is the log, lastly I tried 2 things. 1. Playing the show that gives issues 2. Marking it as seen. So these should be the latest things in the log file. embyserver.txt
Luke 42085 Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 Ok the fact that you rolled back to 4.1 is a problem, because the 4.2 beta made database changes that 4.1 doesn't understand. My starting suggestion for now is to refresh metadata on all items that are affected. If that doesn't help, then I would suggest removing them from your library, then running a full scan to clear them out of the database, and then adding them back.
Luke 42085 Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 By the way for episodes, if you end up having to try the second option i mentioned, then i would probably suggest moving the whole series folder out of your library rather than just the individual episodes.
trtrtrtr 5 Posted July 26, 2019 Author Posted July 26, 2019 (edited) That worked. Thanks.... Moved entire shows and movies out. I'm using the plugins that change time and date on shows and movies. It changes the metadata add date. The plugins work, however tvshows dont change no matter what date you put in. (I had to remove and re-add the shows as you said). Movies do work though. But it seems "Latest tv show" shows last show added no matter what date you give another tv show. (I even tried to manually change data creation on all files in the show, no luck). Luke 42085 Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 Also "calculate statistic" job fails all the time. Unsure if this is due to the new plugin being developed. I would mention this to the developer in the thread for that plugin. thanks.
trtrtrtr 5 Posted July 26, 2019 Author Posted July 26, 2019 Okay, did you try to change metadate on a show in your own server - too see if its moved away from the "last added shows"? Move show out, and scan and back in. No matter what date you give it, it'll stay.
Luke 42085 Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 Yea works fine here. Those are based on the date added values of the episodes, not the series.
