Erik 124 Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 Hi, I have always used software transcoding, but since I have an Intel i5 4590 (which supports quicksync from Intel HD 4600 Graphics Processor) I wanted to give it a try. However, since I'm running server 2012R2 i cannot seem to install any drivers for the graphics and it stays at "basic display adapter" which obviously won't let Emby use the hardware graphics abilities. Anybody have tips/how to get the drivers to install, google hasn't been too successful for me as of yet. Thanks, Erik
Erik 124 Posted July 20, 2019 Author Posted July 20, 2019 Using the drivers from the intel site, run the exe and it pops up an error that says something like "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software".
Luke 42093 Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 Is Windows fully up to date? @@CBers, do you run windows server?
Erik 124 Posted July 20, 2019 Author Posted July 20, 2019 Yes, i keep it updated. I even checked for windows updates now and none found. I assume its because Server 2012R2 doesn't recognize the drivers as they are only available for windows 8.1/10. Same issue with the onboard NIC (but there is an easy way to force those drivers to install), but can't figure out the video drivers.
Solution Erik 124 Posted July 20, 2019 Author Solution Posted July 20, 2019 Ok, finally got it...found a driver that would work when i bypassed the normal installation methods. Would not work using the same process with all the intel downloaded drivers, but did for a previous version. Thanks @@Luke for the help though.
