skank 85 Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 Honestly never had problems with my libraries until now when i use embruary skin for kodi Sualfred mentioned, i've set up my libraries incorrectly Thats why i come to this question My server has following folder/subfolders Movies 4k movies 3d movies bluray movies kids 3d movies kids 4k movies kids bluray movies in emby server i setup following libraries - 4k movies (pointing to 4k + kids 4k movies) - 3d movies (pointing to 3d + kids 3d movies) - kids movies (pointing to kids 3d+ kids bluray + kids 4k) - all movies (pointing to all 6 folders) Now when i use the embruary skin, i get double movies, although i dont have double versions Sualfred told me : That's not supported by Kodi, Emby for Kodi and only unofficially in Emby. Luke (the main dev of Emby) mentioned a few times that items should not be in multiple libraries. Is that correcT? Cause i never had problems with it before How should i set it up then? Cause a movie should be visible in multiple "libraries" if needed i hope i'm clear
Deathsquirrel 745 Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 Normally those should be merged. From your list, you should likely have 2 library folders, movies and kids movies. Movies that currently exist in several libraries would be moved into the same folder and named to support the different resolutions and such. each movie would have one entry but the various versions would be available to select in a dropdown. Finally user rights would determine the saw movies, kids movies, or both in their movies library. There are other ways to set it up, but that's the Emby standard for movies.

Luke (the main dev of Emby) mentioned a few times that items should not be in multiple libraries. Hi, that's correct. We'd like to support it, but have not yet had a chance to circle back to it. Thanks.
skank 85 Posted July 20, 2019 Author Posted July 20, 2019 Any idea how i should set it up then? Proposals? I should easily be able to filter 3d , 4k and kids movies
Luke 42085 Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 I would just have one all movies library and then use sub-folder access to control user access.
