caveman456 2 Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 What am I doing wrong? I have a couple of family members that remotely access my Emby server. They have signed up to Emby connect and I have invited them to access my server but when they log on for the first time they still have to input my Remote WAN address. After this everything is fine until my IP address changes (Modem reboot or sometimes randomly from my provider, out of my control). If this happens I have to then send them my new IP address for them to re-add the server. All remote users show up in the user page with the cloud symbol indicating they're linked to Emby Connect.
Luke 42081 Posted July 15, 2019 Posted July 15, 2019 Hi, you're not doing anything wrong, but it sounds like they are connecting to your server by adding the server info manually instead of signing in with their Emby Connect login. The login process encourages them to sign in with Emby Connect, but it also has a button to skip it and enter the server address manually. It sounds like that is what they are doing.
