Misinthe 46 Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Hello, lately I've seen a problem where my Shows only have either Spanish or French subtitles, when I have them set for English and Spanish subtitles. Any idea why this would happening? Thank you.

This problem seems to be only in my Samsung Smart TV. My LG TV and my Android phone have the English Subtitle, but they're not showing in my Samsung TV, only the French version. Edit: As soon as I posted, a new Episode started in my LG TV that only has French Subtitles haha. So I don't know what's going on. I'll check my files. Edited July 14, 2019 by Misinthe

After looking int he Folder with the Video Files I noticed that the episodes that have only French subtitles, have no subtitiles downloaded for them, and the one that have both French and English, have the English subtitles in the folder. This makes me think that the French is hardcoded into the video and Emby is not able to download an English version.
Luke 42086 Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 The answer is simple. Do the subtitle providers have the subtitles that you want? You can find out the answer by using the manual download feature. If the answer is yes, then that just means that your automatic download settings are too strict and are skipping over it.
