Yea, admittedly not great documentation but if you download the "plug" repos into the plugin folder of fhdhr, then run it via a Linux docker container it should allow you to setup the config files to work with the services you are using.

This is the doc website incase it's helpful.

Any updates on this?  Would be nice to be able to do this with just emby.

Not natively integrated into Emby yet, but I just yesterday used the setup instructions from both here and Channels DVR to get the Channels generated M3U file and XML guide.  It worked beautifully.  I was even able to use the guide on Channels to integrate Pluto TV into ChannelsDVR and then produce the M3U. So now Pluto sits side by side with my OTA HDHomeRun and AT&T TV streaming channels all inside the Emby guide.  The channels are in numerical order and everything.  The only nit-noid I have with it is that Channels prioritized the Pluto channels above the AT&T channels so I have to scroll all the way down to the bottom to get to the AT&T channels (there are a LOT of Pluto channels to go through).  I guess once we get channel grouping inside of Emby that will be the fix for that.  It did however put the local OTA channels at the very top which is good.  All in all, I'm loving it.

@EZEd you can set up favorites in your channels so you can have the channels u like start at the top. That's what I do. @cayarsis the expert on this stuff & can definitely help you more.

You can reorder the default channel order in Emby on the Channels menu

You can also add tags for all pluto channels, all local, all network, etc and only look at that set of channels with a filter as well.

Yeah I'll probably have to set up filters now.  There are way too many channels to keep trying to page down through.  I assume the tagging of channels is manual? Is there anyway to parse the info from the M3U automagically?  Would be great to have an autofilter that can tell from the M3U that OTA channels belong together, Pluto channels belong together etc...

If the M3U contains groups, we already do just that.

Almost 2 years later, any updates?  I would really like to move away from Channels.

I posted this nearly five years ago and still nothing? Anyhow, here's some git code that might be useful. It is specifically for implementing frndlyTV into ChannelsDVR as an m3u playlist and EPG but could be a starting point to finally get this on Emby. Sorry for the double post.

I do not have access to any service in question, i live in Europe. But i also believe it doesn't make sense anymore for a plugin, because more and more tv stations that where available in TVEverywhere are now DRM protected. And it won't get any better in the future.

Well I can't fault you on that one.

Take NBC in the US for example. It used to be in TVE but now it's in it's own app. To that end Channels DVR will now launch the app to play the channels but you have to be logged into the app for it to work which can only be done either by paying for the app or by authorizing through your provider, in my case YouTubeTV. ABC and CBS work directly in Channels DVR currently though but again you need a provider or tuner. The HDHomeRun OTA tuners still work for the most part for free OTA but the switch to ATSC 3.0 in the U.S. will allow DRM through a required internet connection from the tuner back to the TV Station. I'm not sure if there's a protected playback stream required currently as I don't have an ATSC 3.0 tuner and it's still in roll-out stage but I suspect it will be a protected stream once the Government makes everybody switch to ATSC 3.0. It isn't about free access to the airwaves any longer. It's about profit.

Although not as convenient as TVE, there are ways to get many of the channels into Emby without Channels.  I still prefer Channels, but if someone wanted to use Emby without Channels:

1. Antenna for your broadcast stations (assuming you have access to all channels in your area).

2. Subscription to streaming service (I used FuboTV).  This gives you access to:

3. EPlus Project:  ESPN, SEC, ACC, Big10, Fox Sports, NFL Network, ESPN3, Amazon NFL Games, and a handful of other sources depending on your subscriptions.

4. Pluto for Docker: Basically you can pull in all Pluto channels using this source.

5. PBS via Docker.  Gives you access to your local PBS station.

6. FuboTV Project.  Gives you access to nearly all the channels available via Fubo except ABC based channels (ie ESPN).  Guide data isn't avalable so you have to map from another source, I find using my local cable company guide from Emby source gives you a decent overlap to pull in guides.  Discovery based channels are only available via this solution.

7. Frndly Source.  Similar to Pluto Eplus if you have this subscription.

Ultimately I chose to use Channels.  It's $80 a year and they make it a lot easier to manage allowing everything to be ingested and then making available a m3u and XML guide file that I can use with Emby, Jellyfin or even Plex now.
