pwhodges 2014 Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Many of my files have multiple audio and subtitle streams, in one series 4 audio and 4 subtitle. Although these are named in the file, and stand-alone players display these names, in Emby I get the choice (typically) of: Japanese AAC 5.1 (Default) English AAC 5.1 English AAC 5.1 English AAC 5.1 and: Off English (Default ASS) English (ASS) English (ASS) English (ASS) This is less than helpful. Is it likely that Emby will pass through these names when available at some time in the future?
Luke 42085 Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Hi there, have you explored the advanced library settings?

pwhodges 2014 Posted July 2, 2019 Author Posted July 2, 2019 (edited) Hi there, have you explored the advanced library settings? Thanks - I realise that I had misinterpreted that setting, thinking it referred to the file name/title (didn't read the note, obviously!) EDIT - that was the per-library setting. Now I've found the right one, and the result is perfect - I don't know why you advise against using it, honestly. Several topics on this. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/73214-will-emby-recognize-atmos-on-the-info-screen/?p=743140 I was surprised to find nothing, actually - clearly my search was also defective...
