MB Server (et al) - Sort Trailers by Release Date

This applies to the Movie Trailers plug-in, not to movies that have actual trailers in their folders.

 

I'm not sure exactly where this should go, or how hard this would be to implement, but I'd love to have the option to sort Movie Trailers by the Movie's Release Date.  It would be awesome to be able to see, at a glance, what movies are coming out this week, this month, next month, etc.  

Possibly also the option to remove trailers whose movies have already released.

This works in the web client... On the movie trailer page, sort the items how you want and it should stick. None of the other clients seem to be advanced enough to do this yet though. Maybe Media Browser Classic but I don't use that client much.

 

There is no calendar view though.

Sort by "Year" in MBC and that will sort by release date.

That is only in the dev server.  I believe Trailers will be back to a media folder (or there will be an option for it) before it goes wide.
