Question about my movie Nfo file

Hi guys,

 

I am having an issue with the movie "The Dark Knight" (2008) being misidentified as "The Dark Knight Rises" (2012).

The structure looks as follows: .../movies/The Dark Knight (2008)/The Dark Knight (2008).mkv

 

Is there anything in the naming that I can do to help Emby recognizing the right movie?

The only workaround I can think of right now is editing the metadata manually and lock it for changes.

Hi.  Is there an existing nfo file that the identification is coming from?

 

Did you try just using the "Identify" feature and selecting the right film?

Removing the NFO was the solution, didn't think of it.

Well, not exactly.

It was Emby that created the nfo in the first place, so it was misidentified in a version prior to the current one.

 

Btw. Luke, I noticed that you rename topics from time to time, why do you do that?

Someone who might have the same issue I was having with a misidentified movie will now never ever look into this topic and miss the helpful answer of ebr.
