Misinthe 46 Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 Hello everyone, I was trying to move my music into my server now that I have my videos done. After I created the library, the Music section is empty and I don't see any songs in it, the format is .mp3 so I don't think that is the problem, anyone had this issue? Thank you all.
Happy2Play 9783 Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 What is the folder structure of your Music and how are they named? https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Music-naming

Luke 42083 Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 Hi there, how did you set this up in Emby library setup? Did you wait for the library scan to finish after adding the library?
Misinthe 46 Posted June 27, 2019 Author Posted June 27, 2019 Hi there, how did you set this up in Emby library setup? Did you wait for the library scan to finish after adding the library? I set the folder as "Music" and I only added 3 songs at first to test it, so the scan only took but a second. I can see the Artist Folders but they're empty. Here's a screenshot of the setup for the folder. Thank you for your help!
ebr 16187 Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 Hi. Are your songs properly tagged with Album and Artist info?

ebr 16187 Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 Then I guess we'll need to see some more details like screen shots of the actual structure and library setup and a log from when these are ingested into the system. Thanks. How to Report a Problem

ebr 16187 Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 Okay, you definitely don't want the library pointing directly to that Taylor Swift folder (I wouldn't think). I would remove the library entirely, run a library scan and let it finish, then restart the server, add back your library (with just the music folder) and let that automatic scan finish. Then post just the embyserver.txt log file. Thanks.

Here is the log file after I did all the steps that you said. Thank you for your help. embyserver.txt
Solution Luke 42083 Posted June 30, 2019 Solution Posted June 30, 2019 It looks like you have another Emby library pointing to the top of your f: drive. Please remove that and then run a library scan. You can't add the same folder twice. In other words, you can't have F:\ in one library, and then F:\music in another. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks. 1

Thank you, I don't know why I had that drive set for my Movies when there's only Music in it. Thank you for all your help!
