Nutts 0 Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Hi, The when playing a video in the web client the current location slider bar is greyed out and does not move so it is not possible to jump ahead or resume playback. I am doing something wrong, is there a setting that enables this feature? Thanks
Kelmino 17 Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 I feel like I've seen this in the past, I don't have the problem anymore, and honestly I can't remember if it was even something to do with Media Browser or another client I may have been using at the time. What type of file are you trying to play? the extension of the file. Is it .mkv, .wmv, .avi? Also what's the quality of the video you're playing? Is it 1080p, 720p, or lower? Is this internally to your network or external to your network? Do you have the same problem if you use Media Browser Classic? Also what browser are you using? Usually recommend Chrome for the web client player.
Nutts 0 Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 Thanks for the reply, sorry its taken me so long to get back, life got real busy. The video format I am playing is all of the above mkv, mp4 and avi it occurs on all. Video quality is usually less than 720 maybe around 480 but can be lower. Running on an internal network on the server machine, I am using Chrome I completely uninstalled the MB3 server and reinstalled after the last update because the update would not complete.
Nutts 0 Posted June 8, 2014 Author Posted June 8, 2014 Fixed ...... YAY issue is related to incomplete metadata. was resolved by shutting down the server deleting library.db and refreshinfo.db restart the server waiting for the server to refresh the metadata. The slider is now usable again. Found this post that helped me resolve the issue. http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/5682-no-resume-video/?hl=%2Bresume+%2Bnot+%2Bworking
