ab123ga 14 Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 I have been using the Auto Collections Plugin and it love it. The issue I have is when I have a regular version of a movie and a 3D version it seems to always put the 3D version in the collections. I have tried to manually remove the 3D and add regular and it always ends up with the 3D version. Anyone /w ideas?
ebr 16169 Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Just luck of the draw. The plug-in is weeding out duplicates to try and handle the case where you actually have multiple links to the same movie. Given we now have better ways than shortcuts to create links, I should probably remove that and just let the duplicates show up.
ebr 16169 Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Can you replace the AutoBoxSets.dll in your server plugins folder with this one, restart your server, and force the auto boxset task to run and let me know if both versions now show up and if anything else is wonky. Thanks.
CBers 7450 Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 I'll give e that a go as well, as I have 2D & 3D versions of the same movie. I didn't notice it put the 3D version in a collection.
ab123ga 14 Posted May 24, 2014 Author Posted May 24, 2014 I added the new DLL. Restarted MB server and refreshed the collection. No change. Still shows the 3D versions. I again tried to manually remove one (ex: Monsters Univ) 3D and add the 2D version and it updated the collection with the 3D version. They have the same IMDB id so unsure if it just taking the first one it sees.
CBers 7450 Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 I deleted all the auto created BoxSets, forced plugin to refresh but still only the 3D version on one of my collections.
ebr 16169 Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Can I see the server log from one of you please? Thx.

ebr 16169 Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Is Madagascar one of the collections with a normal and 3D member?
ebr 16169 Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 ab - you need to actually replace the other dll. You renamed the old one and kept it in that folder so you now have two copies of the plug-in running simultaneously.
ab123ga 14 Posted May 24, 2014 Author Posted May 24, 2014 Yes. That's one. Cars, Despicable Me etc. I have not checked all but the ones I have are all doing the same thing.
ab123ga 14 Posted May 24, 2014 Author Posted May 24, 2014 Also I removed the old DLL and restarted the server and refreshed. I once again tried to remove cars 2 3D and add Cars 2 and it kept kept the 3D version.
ab123ga 14 Posted May 24, 2014 Author Posted May 24, 2014 Server log added to box link above. The newest one was just copied 2 min ago.
CBers 7450 Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 (edited) My log here. Only 2D & 3D in a collection should be Thor Collection - Thor:The Dark World is the 3D movie, but not seeing the 2D in the collection. Both the 2D and the 3D versions are in the same folder: Edited May 24, 2014 by CBers
ebr 16169 Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 A couple more questions for both of you - Do both versions show up in the normal library views as separate movies? Do both versions have the proper collection id in their metadata?
Happy2Play 9780 Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 CBers, could it be since you are looking at the collection view and there are only 2 movies in the Thor Collection(i.e. the collection.xml doesn't populate versions)? If you clicked on Thor: The Dark World do you see your 2D & 3D?
ebr 16169 Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 I think this may be a problem in the core instead of the plug-in. I see the plug-in finding and adding all four of the items but, somehow, the collection is ending up mapping the normal one to the 3D one. As you guys said - the web interface won't even allow you to add both versions. In fact, in that interface, both versions don't even show up - you only see one and if you try to add it - it just goes away and doesn't show two versions of it. @@Luke...

I should have Thor and Thor:The Dark World twice (1x2D & 1x3D), so 3 movies, in the collection, but only see the 3D of The Dark World with the original in the collection. Edited May 24, 2014 by CBers
Happy2Play 9780 Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Doesn't the collection view (collection.xml) just show what movies are in a collection, then the movie folder (movie.xml) itself show the versions/quality of the movie? Just like TMDB doesn't distinguish between 2D & 3D http://www.themoviedb.org/collection/131296-thor-collection
BATTLE DONKEY 98 Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 What if u try placing them (2D & 3D) in separate folders
ab123ga 14 Posted May 25, 2014 Author Posted May 25, 2014 Sorry for the delay. I keep my 3D movies in one category versus the 2D movies. It does successfully show both movies in the separate folders. I do not have a single folder that has both. I can set up a temp movie category and put both versions to see if it shows as 1 movie or both.
browned 33 Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I am going to assume this hasn't been fixed as I have the same of similar issue. I have separate 3D Library and a 2D Library. My Collections are created, but it seems random as to which movies are in the collections, Some are 3D only, some a 2D and 3D. But I never get all of the movies in the collection only one version of each movie. I wouldn't mind a solution where the collection contains all the movies or there are separate collections for 2D and 3D. either is fine. 1
