lightsout 156 Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 I assume it does but wanted to be sure. If I try to download a file, I will be limited to the bandwidth I have set in the server correct?
Luke 42085 Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 No because it's two different things. The server bandwidth limit is used to specify the amount of bandwidth the server can handle at a time. The download bitrate is used to control download file sizes for both bandwidth and storage purposes.

Ok so if I choose to download a file at original quality ( not wanting to wait for a transcode) it should download with my full connection? Because even setting to original it always seems to take longer than expected. And many times never seems to finish. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to leave the app open. I haven't figured out a way to see the progress. It's either done or it's not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Luke 42085 Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 You should leave the app open, and yes it can take time because we defer to the download managers on the devices you're downloading from. That means it will schedule the download and decide on the speed based on other activity occurring on the mobile device. Most of the time it will probably not download at full blast.

Ah that makes sense. I am using IOS so hard to really know whats happening in the background. With Android I used to have a speedometer in the notification bar, very handy.
