bretswinney 22 Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 I am having issues when I click on letters on the left. They should be send me down to that letter but it doesn't. It works fine on the browser but not on fire tv or roku. Anyone else having this issue?

What version of Emby server? We need to know more before we go from there. Lets focus on the Roku that is my area. Can you try using the Emby Beta of the Roku app and see if it works? If it doesn't we can dig deeper. Let us know the answer to all the above questions. Thanks.

Lemme submit the fix and I will put reference here in this thread BRB. Reference: Fix #485: [PosterGrid] fix jumping This should address the issue in the Roku app if it is caused by what was causing it for me. Hopefully this address the problem. The very next Roku beta will include this fix. Thanks for choosing and using Emby. Please leave feedback on where we need to do better or where we exceed your expectations. Thanks. If this works on Roku then Eric can copy this method into other apps. He may have a better idea. He sees my idea for Roku.. lol. This will be solved on FireTV shortly. Apologies for the interruption. I don't think @@ebr pushed the update to beta yet. Right now it is difficult because of the holiday. We will be pursue this immediately on Monday rest assured. Do those problem letters always go to the same item? Does that item have a "Sort Title" if you look on the web app on your Emby server in the metadata manager? ebr 16184 Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 The movies you are getting "stuck" on probably have corrupted sort titles caused by a previous beta of the server. Do they all start with "The " or "A ". Can you bring up each one of them in the web app and "Edit Metadata" and then hit "Save" and see if that fixes the problem?

In that case B C would all jump to The Daughter if that is the first show of D. The reasoning is it keeps jumping until it arrives at your letter (if possible) or anything greater once it gets there. So if you have no B C and you chose B it would make sense it jumped to D. If you have shows that begin with B and C and using B jumps to D there is a problem. Ideally if no item exists with that letter the letter isn't shown but the same isn't true if you use Filters. Filters do not cause the Prefix letters to change. Edited June 19, 2019 by speechles

Based on your description, I really think this is a data corruption problem in the database. So far, that has been the cause of all of these.
