nujackk 1 Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 App on firestick will not connect to server. I've tried entering address directly. Won't work at all that way. Use connect will show the server but never connect says server not avail. I can use browser on stick and connects no problem.phone,laptop all work great. Reinstalled server etc at a loss at this point
ebr 16184 Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 Hi. Is the server remote? Are you trying to use https? If so, do you have a valid certificate that is recognized by the device?

No app will complete connect to server. i can sign it to emby connect but will not connect to the server. Not using https as far as i know. using no-ip for ddns Edited June 15, 2019 by spambox10

nujackk 1 Posted June 17, 2019 Author Posted June 17, 2019 Running server on synology nas. Don't have a cert that I know of using free no-ip for dns and secure connection is disabled in the server settings

As stated not using https that was a typo/ autocorrect and still can't use app. As test install plex on same nas and running both at same time plex works fine. emby seems to be fine locally but app will not connect. web will at http://nujackkemby.ddns.net. Does anyone have ideas what to check?
