altramarine 21 Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 (edited) Hello! I decided to move my current Media Browser Server to another, better equipped, PC. Here are the steps I've taken: installed MB server on another Windows 7 PC canceled out half way through the initial setup closed MB from the taskbar As per THIS post, copied C:\users\username\appdata\roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\ from old to new PC, same location (deleted the existing, fresh MediaBrowser-Server folder) started MB made sure, the locations to my existing library are correct (has not changed) The server starts and seems to work for the most part. However, here are a few things that are happening: when new content is added:no metadata, backdrops or any other files are added forcing "Chapter imagne extraction", I receive an error "Chapter image extraction failed. database disk image is malforrmed database disk image is malformed" in webclient browser, clicking some existing movies/show, results in a popup with the same error: "database disk image is malforrmed database disk image is malformed" Any idea what can be done to connect the database? Many thanks! Edited May 23, 2014 by altramarine
Solution Luke 42078 Posted May 23, 2014 Solution Posted May 23, 2014 we don't really have a documented procedure at this point. i also would like to build a backup and restore function. but until we have either of those, i'm afraid the only reliable migration process is just a fresh install. 1

Thanks for a super speedy response! Would this help me at all: LINK If not, then a fresh reload, followed by re-registering all the add-ons, and re-doing settings? Not a big deal, just making sure before I jump into this. many thanks!
altramarine 21 Posted May 23, 2014 Author Posted May 23, 2014 All good to go, just re-installed, reconfigured. Made me go through the new features, which are awesome:) Thank you!
