How to generate thumbnails when the movie already have poster?

If there is only a movie without any pictures, my emby will generate a poster using a thumbnails automatically. So the movie shows well in "continue watching"(the picture is full of space). If the movie already have a vertical poster, the movie shows well in the "movie select", but my emby won't generate a thumbnail, so the vertical poster will be shown in a wide box in "continue watching" and it cannot fill up the space. Is there any method force the emby to generate a thumbnail for each movie and named them as thumb.ext?
