aerospyke 4 Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Hi all, I have some shows that have episodes that are unrelated to the series, and so they are not in the series folders but rather ythe TV show root folder. They don't show. i.e. TV show > Series 1 >> S01E01 >> S01E02 > Series 2 >> S02E01 >> S02E02 > Series 3 >> S03E01 >> S03E02 > Special Episode 1 > Special Episode 2 from that exmaple, the series folders show, and the episides in those series, but the 2 special episodes are missing. This happens in the classic as well as web client. Any thoughts?
Yogi 367 Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Yep make a Season 0 (zero) folder and place them in that.
aerospyke 4 Posted May 22, 2014 Author Posted May 22, 2014 Bummer really? Didn't have this problem with MB2 so i thought it would just be a config issue. Any wya around it? Potentially just the theme limitation or is it an indexing thing.
bluemonkey07 590 Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 (edited) When they are in the season 0 folder you can define in the metadata in what regular season it should appear part of Edited May 22, 2014 by Vidman
Yogi 367 Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 (edited) Well from memory I thought that MB2 followed the same naming structure, maybe I am wrong. Also it is following the same naming convention as thetvdb.com which is where the metadata is retrieved from. Edited May 22, 2014 by Yogi
aerospyke 4 Posted May 24, 2014 Author Posted May 24, 2014 Interesting.... Never knew this was a requirement as it wasn't in MB2... or maybe it is a theme thing?
BATTLE DONKEY 98 Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 It wasn't a requirement in mb2 because it would display the special episode without any metadata. If u wanted the data it did require a season 0 folder. Just look up the series on tvdb.com and look up the specials, then rename the specials u have according to their listing ie. sOOeO4 and it will gather all the metadata for that special and then u can specify whether it displays it mid season like if it happened to be a Christmas special or something like that 1
