Prevent offline sync when device is remotely connected to server

I'd like my phone to sync only when I'm on my local network. With the Internet upload speed I have at home, it would take hours to sync a single file.

 

The only option I've found is in the device settings but that's more about saving LTE data usage rather than preventing a never-ending download. It doesn't fit my needs I'm connected on a Wi-Fi network outside my home (e.g. some public hotspot) it triggers the download and I have to manually cancel it.

 

The option I'm looking for is on a server level. Disabling remote access would be overkill, I still want to browse my librairies outside my house. 

 

Would that be easy enough to develop in a minor release?
