Folder based access with different languages

Hi,

I am still struggling to make Emby work with my multilingual environment. My problem here is with the "new folder based access" (not so new anymore :P ).

In the past I had several libraries based on different folders that I merged in Emby to all appear under Movies. Some of them were setup to be for English movies where the title and metadata were in English, some were in other languages (mostly French). The advantage was that I didn't have to change the setting for each individual file as the whole library was based on a specific language.

Now I could not find anything similar with the new system… I can't find the 'merge library' option anymore and the options for library with several folders could not be done on a folder basis level.

Any way to make this work again ?

Thanks for your help.

Hi, I guess in the new model you will just need different libraries. Or you can customize the metadata language at the folder level.

Hi, I have given it a try and the folder based settings seems to do the trick. Thanks Luke.

Hi, this is my first post, I have the same situation, 2 sources for movies(english & french) and 2 sources for series (english & french).

what do you mean "new model", I can't find that option anywhere...

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the reply, if I understand correctly, this works for TV Show types that are all in the same language but is not good for folders of different languages since you can only specify the language for the library and not individual folders.
