Sorry I must've missed that post. Thanks for the explanation. I was looking for a box to put a check in that would put them all in one channel

 

We may have to do something like that eventually but, at this point, putting them under a "Channel" heading is going to cause more strife for users because they are going to ask "where did trailers and podcasts go?".

 

As channels grow, we'll have to figure out a way to allow the user to organize them - or, maybe not.  Maybe people won't all end up installing every single channel that is out there.  We'll see, but I don't necessarily think lumping them all under one "Channels" entry makes sense.

Sorry for the delay..

 

179 fired right up for me too.  The only time I was having that delay was after each new version, then it would level out.  So having it fire right up after the install of 179 is a good sign! 

 

And yes, I have hide empty folders on.

 

 

 

 

There is currently no way to get recent items out of the new channel architecture.  That is being worked on in the server.

 

 

 

Hopefully that will get straightened out soon.  Without new trailers populating the RAL, I'd never watch a trailer!  What can I say, I'm busy and need things handed to me.  I need new content to smack me in the face lol.

Ebr, If it's something that will most likely happen tho it may be better to do it now before even more people have channels, they get used to it and then they are moved. Although I imagine you would make it an option anyway.

I currently have 2 Trailers on my EHS, one is the normal Trailers and the other is the Channels version. Edited June 11, 2014 by CBers

Grouping/removing channels works as intended.   I'd almost be willing to leave them removed if I could keep Trailers the way it is (I know, I'm always difficult and don't want to let go of the "old way").

 

I'm not overly familiar with the rules of overscan...I will say when I make the numbers smaller (minus) the screen stretches, and when I make them bigger it gets smaller.  I would think it would be reverse, but I dunno.

 

Couldn't test the player part, have guests coming over in a few minutes.

Overscan is working fine Eric.  I tested it out and overscan is working good for me.

• Fix chapter bindings in classic theme
• Add options for Channels
• Fix overscan problems in custom player
• Add overscan adjustments to config page

Please test two major things for me:

 

1) That under/overscan is properly adhered to in the new custom player interface.  Probably most obvious on a 360.

2) That adjusting these values in the advanced config panel works properly

Seconded on overscan. I reset my TV's input from PC to SAT which removes the 1:1, and I was able to use your overscan options to adjust the picture to the correct size.

 

Thanks for the Channel options as well. I and one of my customers very much dislike having the channels all mixed in with the other headings on the EHS, so being able to put them under the one heading is great!

Stupid question time tho, how do I give this "channels" heading a folder image? I've looked through everything under user/Appdata/Roaming/MediaBrowser-Server/ImagesByName including the channels folder (added a folder.png, doesn't show in MBC's EHS under Chocolate) and can't find the proper location to put one. I'm guessing because it doesn't have a default I need to create a location for it? If so, what location is that?

 

Edit - Found it:  ImagesByName/General/Channels   (I created the Channels folder and put my folder.png image in there)

1 - From build 179 to latest one, mbc when enter any library, is too slow, and browsing the titles is somehow sluggish in mouse / keyboard movement, too lagged.

Sorry Abo, I swear I thought there was an option in that first column for it along with the favorites and music genre.  I've had a Collections on my EHS for months now..thought that was where I enabled it!

 

 

On the server under Users, your user, Library Tab, I have "Collections" in the list and it's checkmarked.  It is not a media folder that I created under the main Library section, so this must be what EBR is referring to.

DG is correct.  The option is in the library access on the server - not MBC.
