ebr 16169 Posted June 9, 2014 Author Posted June 9, 2014 Ebr the theme backdrops are now working as normal with .176.Whatever you added has fixed this. Radeon and I worked together yesterday to get this figured out. I had to add something and then he was able to modify the plug-in to work properly with the new interface. So, thanks go to him. 2
ebr 16169 Posted June 9, 2014 Author Posted June 9, 2014 I used the new interface on the 360 and it worked well and I quite preferred it...on build 173. Trying to figure out why I can't get into MBC on 176 though on computer or 360. Nevermind. Got a blue screen the first time or two I went in...but it seems to be working now. Thanks. So now I have conflicting reports. If anyone else has a 360 they can test with please do so we can figure out if there are issues.
radeon 755 Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Sorry guys, i had seen this issue with the theme videos but have had a bereavement in the family which has just taken me further off the radar with personal things going on. As ebr says above MBC 176 and the Theme Video Backdrops plugin 1.0.5 fixes this issues people have been seeing with the theme media playing fullscreen upon entering an item.

ebr 16169 Posted June 10, 2014 Author Posted June 10, 2014 Okay, I lied - there will be another dev release later today and that one, hopefully, can go beta tomorrow. I'm going to be removing the "Channels" main item and just putting all channels on the top-level just like other media folders. I don't think we should arbitrarily organize these items under one heading based only on their technical implementation. 1
DGMayor 90 Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 177 is up: Make pause icon dimmer Move watched indicators back to left Smaller and optional new item notifications in custom player interface If you guys say this version is okay, I think I'm ready to promote to beta. The one nagging issue may be extenders with the new custom player interface but I may need to get to the wider beta audience to flesh that out if it is a problem. I think I can live with that smaller notification. Also nice that it's optional. Speed is back, Theme movies/songs work great. I'd say it looks good to me! 1

ebr 16169 Posted June 10, 2014 Author Posted June 10, 2014 Can I please see the entire log that took 15 minutes? I have not experienced anything like that so it either has to be setup or option related.
coolspot 22 Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 What was the issue the other 360 user had with the new interface? The only issues I had were all resolved. The first was an issue with the screen going dim everyone 10-15mins, but that is resolved. The other issue I had was with build 173 (i think), it was an issue with some error message that came up...I had to go into the config file xml and turn off "hide empty folders" to get back in. That issue was resolved too I think. The third issue I had was that I had to go into regedit and redo my blue borders at one point recently. Not sure why that mattered.

DGMayor 90 Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Also a question about channels in MBC. Should new videos be populating the EHS/RAL lists like other media? I currently have two trailer entries in my EHS (which I'm aware is currently by design). The old way treats trailers like any other media folder, showing me latest trailers on the EHS. The new way (and for all channels) is blank on the EHS and I Have to enter it and browse around to determine what is new.

The blue borders was one of the issues. I was hoping the reg hack was the fix for that, so that is good. The other thing was they reported poor video quality on the 360 which wasn't happening with earlier versions.

There is currently no way to get recent items out of the new channel architecture. That is being worked on in the server.

Same thing happened to me when I tried to last couple of dev builds with Breeze. Except I didn"t give it 15 minutes. Soon as it loaded and I saw the blue screen sitting in WMC I thought it was crashing so I uninstalled and went back to the beta version.
ebr 16169 Posted June 10, 2014 Author Posted June 10, 2014 Do both of you guys have "Hide Empty Folders" turned on?
ebr 16169 Posted June 10, 2014 Author Posted June 10, 2014 I'm pretty sure your problems are the Hide Empty Folders option interacting badly with channels. Please install 179 and let me know if the startup time is still a problem. If you guys can confirm it is fixed then I can promote to Beta. Thanks.
J e f f 3 Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 (edited) 179 loaded right up for me ebr. The only thing I noticed was the plug-ins that I have installed our separate in the EHS. What I mean is there not in one location like under channels. Maybe you intended it this way. And yes I do have hide empty folders enabled before and after I installed 179 Edited June 10, 2014 by J e f f

J e f f 3 Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Sorry I must've missed that post. Thanks for the explanation. I was looking for a box to put a check in that would put them all in one channel
