ebr 16169 Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 Hi ebr, Is there any diagnostics or logs I could send / use to try and see what might be causing the problem? As I say the machine that exhibits the problem doesn't do it when the new interface is switched off. Both have Klite codec pack on and configured to use the same codecs. No, you'll just have to test the next version to see if it still happens.
CashMoney 94 Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 I am using radeons plugins and the MBC plugin is configured via the configurator. They are being played via the internal player. I went back to version 163 on my main HTPC and they play in the background as normal,so it is definitely something with the dev version. Also if only a theme song is present the screen is black until you either stop it or it finishes playing and then you see the season folders as with the theme videos. Seconded, same happening here on 169 and 170. You can however "go back" to the interface. 1
Redshirt 1487 Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Hey, With 170. If the custom player view is disabled, clicking play-all or random from the context menu will still play behind the details screen. Clicking the normal play button is full-screen as expected.
ebr 16169 Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 Seconded, same happening here on 169 and 170. You can however "go back" to the interface. As stated above - this plug-in is probably going to have to change the way it works so I need either @@radeon or @@Cheesegeezer to peek in here - or give me access to the code for the plug-in.
ebr 16169 Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 Thanks, I got that fixed. However, with the custom player enabled, I can't seem to make it navigate there either now. It stays in the backdrop and you have to select the now playing icon. I debugged the code and it does call the custom UI but it simply doesn't show up (I love mcml). Does that scenario work for you in 170?
Redshirt 1487 Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 No it doesn't. If I try in 170 what you described, there is no video displayed. The media is playing, I can hear the audio, but what is visible is the backdrop, shortcut plaque, top-right icons, and the root menu is dimmed.
david3663 29 Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Love the new internal player. Could you look into adding options for zoom like the normal wmc interface has if its not much trouble?

AdrianW 1058 Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 171 just hangs at the loading screen for me (after the login screen). MBC log here
ebr 16169 Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 There was an error on the server with one of your channels. Please post the server log.
AdrianW 1058 Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 I removed both channel plugins (Vimeo and Revision 3) and then MBC starts fine.
ebr 16169 Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 The Revision3 plug-in was causing the error I saw. However, that is probably not what caused you to seem to hang. I'll bet $1 that you have "Hide Empty Folders" checked... @@snazy2000 here is the Revision3 error: 2014-06-05 22:31:48.3158 Error - DtoUtils: ServiceBase<TRequest>::Service Exception Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ebr 16169 Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 LOL. Okay, well that should get fixed for the next build. For now, if you un-check that option, MBC should load normally with your channels.
AdrianW 1058 Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 (edited) With "Hide empty folders" still checked - I reinstalled just Vimeo, and MBC hangs at startup. I unistalled Vimeo, unchecked "Hide empty folders", re-installed Vimeo and then MBC would load properly. And the new Channels option appears on the EHS. I did notice that the EHS shows all my local trailer posters, even though the only channel I currently have installed is Vimeo. I'm not using MB Trailers at all - I just have a folder full of local trailers added as a Media Folder with Folder type set to "Trailers". If I enter into Channels - just Vimeo content shows up as expected. -edit- Actually the posters that appear on the EHS for Channels are a mixture of three of my Media Folders - it's probably just all my unwatched items from all folders. Abobader 3464 Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Good day Ebr, All fine here with build 171, well done indeed. My best
Abobader 3464 Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Good day Ebr, Sorry for asking this, but what the key to apply to bring the settings from within MBC ehs? I am using some theme (testing) but can not find how to go to the settings page. My best
ebr 16169 Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 There is no hotkey. The theme has to provide a button for the config.

As I said it is the Hide Empty Folders option that is the problem with loading. It will load, it just may take a really long time. Revision3, however, has a bug that needs to be addressed that is unrelated to this issue but why you aren't seeing content for it probably. If you mean the Recent list on the EHS then, yeah, I don't know that there is any way for me to get a list of recent content from all channels...

That lovely then, btw, for that in the past, I requested that the Media Browser Classic Configurator bring back the screen setting to change the theme in use, right now I will edit the mbc xml file.
