ebr 16169 Posted July 8, 2014 Author Posted July 8, 2014 Okay, good. Square was trying to show you a count of all media under "Channels" and I simply made the core lie to it and tell it there was none because it isn't practical or really even possible to know that. So, whatever was trying to display that count is now saying "0" but it is no longer trying to recursively load the entire channel network. 1
Yogi 367 Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Yep after researching stack overflow a bit that makes a lot of sense. Again great work, especially in keeping the wife happy. Can't have the boss not watching her shows,oh my I dread thinking about it. 1
buddyweiser 105 Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Build 191 is up: Stop themes from trying to count channel media Fix chapters and actors not loading properly Option to not show overlay on mouse movement Allow screensaver/sleep on extended pause Recognize more local IP ranges Yogi - give your trailer playback a try now and see if anything is different. I tested the "Option to not show overlay on mouse movement" and at first thought it was not honoring the check box, but after I restarted MBC it worked fine. I like this option, but is it not possible for the interface to mimick the WMC player controls? ie. only be active on mouse movement when wmc is the active window? It should still be an option, I'm not saying take away the option(not everyone uses wmc in a PC environment where multitasking separate windows, and not everyone uses it in an HTPC), but I think if the option is selected to show the player interface on mouse movement, it should only show when the WMC controls also show. Am I making any sense?
ebr 16169 Posted July 9, 2014 Author Posted July 9, 2014 Ideally, yes, that is how it should work. Unfortunately, though, I have not figured out how to make that happen. Since I am not a real program but, rather a plug-in running inside another program, I don't have a window or the ability to trap events at a "window" level. So, the mouse movement tracking is an all or nothing thing right now. I'm sure there is a way to make it work. I just haven't found it yet so I put in this option to reduce the annoyance factor for people in multi-tasking environments. 1
buddyweiser 105 Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Meh, it was just an aesthetic request. I would think you could somehow make the player watch the wmc popup but its always more difficult than it sounds when coding lol.
