What are the registry keys, folders, and EVERYTHING else I need to remove to guarantee a fresh install?

Posted

There are no registry keys. Just use the uninstaller.

Will the Backup/Restore utility be ok to use? Also, if I use it will it back up all my series recordings?

It will be ok to use however it currently does not backup dvr schedules. why are you doing this?

Too many broken things. Slow-down, guide issues, etc.

I'm sort of in the same boat. Tried to upgrade from v 3.2 and system wouldn't work, so I ended up uninstalling and now installing v 4.1. My problem NOW is that I can't seem to find the executable (or unpacked the RAR to the wrong directory) What I WANT to do is place a shortcut to the embyserver executable in the task bar so that I can restart the server without logging back in or re-booting. What I currently have is a set up for the server that is lost as soon as I exit the server. What part did I do wrong?

Hi, why not just run the installer from the website?

The embyserver.exe executable is in the %USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system directory.  Right click on it and select Send to Desktop (Create Shortcut) and then do anything with that shortcut you want.

I just did a test install on a Linux server. The guide takes just as long. I'm not going to bother with it.
