Newly added TV shows don't have the right metadata fields

For the past few weeks, any TV show that I create a folder for, doesn't have the correct metadata fields when I go to the Metadata Manager.  There are no fields for the "tvdb ID", the "Continuing Status" or anything.  All I get is this what's shown in the picture below.

I'm not sure what I can do to fix this.  I've tried deleting and recreating the folders, but that doesn't seem to do anything.5cec990c80c64_1.png

What is the library type and directory structure?  Looks like it doesn't see it as a TV show.

Hi, try adding a season folder to the TV show, I had this same issue recently. Once you have a season folder, even if its empty, the TV show should be recognised correctly.

That's correct. It must have either a season folder or at least one episode.

Interesting.  Until recently I would just make the top level series folder, and then the organize plugin would create all of the season folders and put in the files.

The problem with this approach is that it required we make an assumption that any folder at the top of the library was a series folder. That impacts our ability to accommodate non-standard folder structures, so we had to stop doing that.

I also noticed this recently and figured out to add a season folder.  It's kind of strange though because if someone adds a Library as type TV you'd think all the top level folders would be TV series no?

No as users are/can use complex folder structure.
