Emby connection confusion

Hi, I'm struggling to get my head around how this works.

 

I 'think' I have a valid emby account (i.e. the one I use to log into the forums).

 

I 'know' my public IP address has the ports 8096 and 8092 open and are connectable from the outside world.

 

I'm using my android phone with wifi off, forcing a 'mobile data' pathway.

 

I open the app, it finds no local servers (as expected), prompts me for my emby connect login (which I assume are my usual credentials) and on submission, it appears to login, but takes me to a new page, with 'server' in a box and underneath, 'login with emby connect' - which i thought I just did?

 

Can anyone tell me what's a drift here?
