Delayed Audio Start for new Video or Unpause

I've been using Emby on my Shield for a fair while and have an issue where it takes a few seconds for the audio to start.

This will also happen when I un-pause. Because of this when I un-pause I have to rewind a bit to catch the missed audio.

Any idea if there is some setting causing this or have others seen the same problem?

 

I tried Plex yesterday to compare and it does not have this issue; I prefer Emby in general but have switched to Plex until I get this issue sorted.

Hi.  Is this bitstreamed audio (DD or DTS etc)?

Seems it will happen if the codec is dolby+ which will cause it to transcode it seems.

 

If I have the downmix to stereo option set it does not have the issue.

Every receiver I've ever had has muted the audio whenever a bitstreamed stream is interrupted and it takes a second or two for it to un-mute.  I'm not sure what, if any, controls there are over this.
