ThePaladinTech 22 Posted May 25, 2019 Posted May 25, 2019 If I login to emby via web browser as my parents and change a setting will that setting be changed on there roku? I'm hoping I can log in that way and disable automatically playing the next episode for there roku. Thanks

speechles 2055 Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 (edited) Um.. no.. Not at the moment. The setting for playing the next episode is within the Roku app itself. It must be done within the app to change this behavior. Play next episode automatically That is what the option is called in the Roku app when using English language. That option is YES by default. To get the behavior you want they must switch this to NO. Eventually we will migrate all (most of..) the Roku settings to use the settings on the server for that user. The Roku had these settings before the server had this storage space for user settings. The Roku doesn't download these settings from the server after the user logs in.. yet. This is planned. We will bring this to the Roku soon. Edited May 26, 2019 by speechles
ThePaladinTech 22 Posted May 26, 2019 Author Posted May 26, 2019 Thanks speechles... Second question, for now is that setting per roku? I'll need to set it on all three of their roku?
speechles 2055 Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 (edited) Unfortunately at the moment, yes. It is unique per Roku as each Roku keeps this setting in its own registry. We kept these settings before the server had this space for us to store all this information. We need to migrate the app to using that server storage space for these settings instead of the registry. We need to cut down what we store in the registry to the bare minimum. We have other issues/features to address before this gets the priority it deserves. We will get this done though as it is required to add some of these features we want to add. Edited May 26, 2019 by speechles
