Luis 41 Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Hey, I would like to know if there is a way to prevent the server to add -sub_charenc windows-1252 when converting the subtitles to .ass in order to trascode? The issue is that all my external downloaded subtitles are in UTF-8 and with that flag some characters are displayed incorrectly. Example: The character ♪ is displayed as ♪ The character á is displayed as á and so on.. With the default autodetect everything works fine. (I tested running the command manually without the flag and overwriting the .ass in the cache folder). Thanks

somy 25 Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Hi, subtitle is really a pain now. I found an old post about the encoding issue, and it seems that it can be fixed: http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/1633-correct-char-encoding-for-subtitle-conversion/
