Wondertje 10 Posted May 22, 2019 Posted May 22, 2019 (edited) I'm not sure this is the right sub-forum so please move if inappropriate! I'm running Emby on my laptop, Windows 10. The app has always worked perfectly fine and I never had any problems with anything. About a week ago I reinstalled my laptop and thus had to reinstall Emby, every since it stopped displaying subtitles incorrect. For some reason, subtitles are always, without fail, displayed top center of screen, instead of the common bottom center. This is extremely annoying and I can't for the life of the see the reason for it. These are subtitles that worked flawlessly before reinstall. I've gone through settings and tried to look for something, but I can't seem to find any where to change this. As far as I can tell, it's happening with all subtitles, all the time. Not just a few or in certain conditions. I tried reinstalling Emby once again but that didn't help. Can anyone tell me what my next step should be? I'm at a loss. More details of my laptop: Operative system: Windows 10 Browser: Chrome Video: .avi Subtitle: .srt - When I open the subtitles in notepad++ I see no tags or anything to position them top (or anywhere else for that matter). EDIT: Whilst writing this post new information came up - this problem is only happening when I use Google Chrome (which is my new standard browser). Before I used Firefox and now that I got back to test with it, everything was fine with the subtitles. Does anyone know why this is an issue and if I can resolve it somehow? (Feel free to move to some kind of bug-report sub-forum if appropriate). Greetings, Jackie Edited May 22, 2019 by Wondertje
Happy2Play 9782 Posted May 22, 2019 Posted May 22, 2019 This issue was introduced in Chrome 74 there are dozens of reports of this on the forum. Temporary work around is adjusting subtitle text size.https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/73870-the-subtitles-are-upper-side-of-the-screen-how-to-fix-this/ 1
Wondertje 10 Posted May 22, 2019 Author Posted May 22, 2019 Oh, I see. I did try searching but probably didn't do a very good job then. Thanks, and sorry for the inconvenience!
