What happens if I download and install manually, can I still update from within Emby later? I've been running Emby beta on Windows for quite some time but I'm not sure how to get in on the beta on my Synology. Cheers! 1

silver_2000 3 Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 It looks to me like Synology has been back burnered or abandoned. I've been trying to get database issues fixed for weeks. We asked for access to the beta weeks ago as well. No progress on either front . the 4.1 update for synology scrambled a bunch of stuff and we are still trying to clean up from it We ran on a windows box for years and bought synology based on the support here. we may just go back to running the server on windows and connect the windows box to the synology storage 1

But I am not 100% sure . Because of transcoding dependencies
PristDean 13 Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 So, uncertain which Beta to convert and it may carry a significant risk of not working at all..... not worth the effort & risk. Feels like nobody at Emby is concerned with a true Synology Beta package.
