MindBullet 93 Posted May 22, 2019 Posted May 22, 2019 Hey guys, I'm missing some .bif files from the preview thumbnail creation on some of my movies. The weird thing is, that the .bif files are not sitting inside of the movie folders, but thumbnails are still shown when playing the file. As everything appears to be correctly played, this really is just a cosmetic problem, but where are the files actually stored? I'm assuming they were created before I've ticked the option from the Emby web app UI in the library "save (thumbnail creation-)files in media folder", so where are they stored if they're saved on the system's drive? Again it's just a cosmetic option as everything is working and the .bif creation was pretty fast imho. I just would like to have everything in place. You know...stupid perfectionism Very kind regards
Solution Happy2Play 9783 Posted May 22, 2019 Solution Posted May 22, 2019 (edited) They default to "...\metadata\library\xx\xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx\*.bif" (look at dashboard for metadata path), so you could do a explorer search on the \library path for "*.bif" files and delete them. Then perform a library scan or thumbnail image extraction task depending on your settings. Edited May 22, 2019 by Happy2Play 1

I've been to that folder but didn't know how to find a specific file That just worked perfectly and lead to the desired outcome. After a couple of backs and forths it seems like my server now is in its final state and everything is just how I want it to be. Thank you very much @@Happy2Play for the heads up Edited May 22, 2019 by MindBullet
