x88dually 9 Posted May 21, 2019 Posted May 21, 2019 Luke says i have to be on the latest and greatest version. Virgin install of Win7, with all updates and patches, and 1 program, k-lite codec pack. Virgin install of v4.1.1.0, created movie library and did scan, (took 27 hrs ) rebooted emby. Then created TV show library, doing scan, BUT ( 9 drives and 35 TB ), stuck on scanning at 89.9 % for 24 hrs, home screen, my media stuff screen stuck at same point for 18 hrs. Is this typical or is it hung ??

Soo, to me Win7 is still better Telemetry can be disabled, but aside from that, Windows 10 is inordinately better than Windows 7. I'll never install Windows 7 ever again.

Yes, Microsoft take information but as per the above, this can be blocked. I never wanted to move from 7 to 10, but now having used 10 for almost 4 years, I never want to go back.

Happy2Play 9780 Posted May 22, 2019 Posted May 22, 2019 Do you have Thumbnail Images enabled on your libraries? On a initial scan that will lets say triple the import time. As I know image extraction took almost 4 days alone when bif files were added. So to me you are on track for the amount of data Emby is processing. But a server log would confirm this.

ErikaJ 65 Posted May 22, 2019 Posted May 22, 2019 Well you could just use the KMS tool to authenticate your W10 OS or better yet use a tool called HWID which has many flavors for authenticating your OS. I believe one is good for 39 years or so. Cheers 1
