Will app work at Cottage

Going be going to a cottage soon with the nice weather and was wondering if the appletv app would work there?

I guess it will depend upon many things.

 

0) is there electricity

1) is there an apple tv at the cottage

2) is there a TV at the cottage

3) does the TV have inputs that will accept the output from an AppleTV

4) is the TV unlocked down so you can change inputs?

5) is there internet access

 

If you answered No to any of the above, then it won’t work (I guess there are other reasons it may not work too).

It has full internet was just remembering reading something but cant find the post where appletv will only work on the local network

It's not true, you can use the Apple TV app from anywhere, but currently you must have an internet connection. It's a requirement we plan to remove in the future. thanks.
