markand 9 Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 I'm in the process of migrating from a Mac Pro server to a QNAP, following https://github.com/M...iki/wiki/Backup . I'm using the Backup method. I have one Collection and while it migrated over, it is empty. I think this could be because all of the media files had their base folder changed from "/Volumes/Media" to "/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Media", however, there doesn't seem to be a way to see what's in the Collection at all. It's just blank in new, migrated system and shows "Christmas" in the old system.
Happy2Play 9783 Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Are you saying the collection.xml does not have any collectionitems in it? If all the items are still in the xml, then you just have to update there paths. https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Collections-–-Manual-Migration
markand 9 Posted May 17, 2019 Author Posted May 17, 2019 Unfortunately, I can't see the collections.xml file - at least I haven't found a way to. I assume that it is in directory referenced when looking at the Collection in the Library settings. I say that because I can't even see what that is. It's truncated and if I manage the Collection it is not shown. My issue is that Emby stores this in something like "/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/...". /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA is sort of like / and QNAP doesn't allow me to view anything there. The File Station only allows me to view Shares such as /Media. It would be good if there was a way to tell Emby to put it's data within a particular folder.
Luke 42083 Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Regarding the directory: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/73710-how-to-view-contents-of-emby-data-files-on-qnap/&do=findComment&comment=743421
