Time shifting live recording bug

When time shifting (watching a currently recording show), and you catch up with the live stream, Emby theatre freezes and the only way to recover is to close the video and start all the way back to the beginning.

 

Can anything be done about this?

If you wait long enough, it should resume. But the handling of such things needs a bit of tending to.

Yes we need to improve this, but in the meantime you shouldn't see this as long as you don't try to see past the current live position.

Hi, have experienced the same issue where time shifting forward past the current live position freezes playback until live position catches up.  Will this be addressed in the future such that if a time shift would go past the current live position that it defaults instead to the current live position??

Any update on this bug? Its quite annoying...

If it cant be fixed quickly, maybe add an indicator on the time scale to let people know when they are getting close to realtime.
