Emby server slow down after a day of use

Hi, 

 

I am having one problem with my emby servers, and I cant find the reason why this is happening.

 

I have 2 servers, one at home, one rented, on both of them, I am having the newest emby beta.

 

I have around 15 active users on both servers.

 

Most of the things is on cloud, so on both servers I have mounted gdrive.

 

Specs of the server are the same, i9, 128gb, 1tb nvme for metadata, 80tb on gdrive (around 600tv shows, and 3000 movies). I am using ubuntu 18.04 on both servers.

 

The weird thing is that on both servers, I can feel slowness in ui, and also in playback (it needs few seconds more to start a video), but mostly it is in UI.

 

Because servers are having okey specs, everything feels super fast and responsive, but after some time (average is after 24 hours), server ui slows down a lot, making it feels like I am using some old hard drives.

 

Then I do restart of emby, and everything returns to normal.

 

All of my users are telling me that they also experience this slow down.

 

 

 

Now I would like to know it this type of behavior typical (maybe because I have around 80tb of data?) or something like this shoudn't happen

 

Also is there some script that would restart emby when no one is using it, because that would helped me a lot (I dont mind if the emby restart it self, if no one is using it like once or twice per day)
