Emby ignoring tvshow.nfo

Hi,

I have some shows that don't get properly identified in Kodi so I've created tvshow.nfo files for those with just a tvdb-link to that show. Works perfectly.

Emby however seems to completely ignore these tvshow.nfo files even though afaik they should be working in Emby.

Tried re-creating the whole library but nope, Emby still identifies the shows wrong or not at all, so it's definitely not using the tvshow.nfo file. :(

Using version 4.1.1.0.

Hi, I don't think we've implemented tvdb link only in an nfo file, but we have done IMDb.

Hmmm, iMDB isn't really an option for TV shows though. Any chance of this being implemented in the near future? :)

Yes but IMDb should work just fine.

It works but iMDB's info for tv shows is rubbish. :)

It still comes from tvdb.

Ahhh, nice! Did not know that. Thanks. :)

All IMDB ids are used on the provider sites Emby uses (OMDB, TMDB, TVDB).  This information will never come from or be used directly on IMDB.

Well, unfortunately even with iMDB URL's in the nfo, Emby is still ignoring them.

No, emby is not ignoring them, but sometimes tvdb does not have the IMDb id in their database for lookup that way.

But these shows do have an IMDB id listed on the tv show page on tvdb.

Looks like the NFO Metadata plugin was broken somehow. I uninstalled and reinstalled it and now it's parsing the nfo files properly.

Thanks for the feedback.

Why isn't it? Tvdb and MovieDb both support lookup by imdb id.
