Metadata Manager

What is the point of the Metadata Manager section in the server management screen, it doesn't offer ANYTHING over just going into the respective library, you can't even multi select. I used to recall that this used to give you a list of library content with icons showing if artwork was missing etc etc.

Well it allows you to jump from one item to the next quickly.

So absolutely pointless compared to what you used to be able to do with it then. I liked to be able to see if parental ratings were missing etc.

 

I needed to select a whole bunch of movies that had corrupt or broken images (I had a RAID break and a messy data recovery) so I could do a mass metadata refresh and replace images. This used to be easy to do. Even in the normal library I had to do it in batches because of the 100 item per page restriction.

 

You may as well remove it from the product in its current state, or put it back to how it used to be ... useful.

Then there would be hundreds of complaints if this was removed.  You can use the Reports plugin to see what items are missing images and you can sort the table to see all you items that are missing parental ratings or Filter them.
