Library Option to Ignore Fileextension

Recommended Posts

Hello

I have a Feature Request. On my Movie folder are ".mkv.vsmeta" Data (generated from Synologys Videostation). All Movies have a "Example.mkv" and an "Example.mkv.vsmeta".

Now it were fine, i can on each Library Setting have an input text (comma sperated), where i can put exclude file extensions. Here also "vsmeta". So this file is ignored.

Now Emby see the .mkv.vsmeta as Movie and in the Movie Screen i can choose 2 Version's: the right .mkv or the wrong .vsmeta.

Hmm, it should not be detecting that in the first place. @@FrostByte can you reproduce this?

I don't use Videostation, but I created a file with that extension and rescanned my library and nothing was picked up by Emby.  benoga, was there something else I needed to do because I can't duplicate?

Hmm, i created manual a  mkv.vsmeta (0byte) and the Library Scan irgnores correctly this file.

Now I make a rescann of all my movie-folder and i than i come back and report if ok or not.

After rescann duplicates are still exists. Then i remove the Movie-Library and restart emby. After emby start i add new Movie-Library and start scan. And now all Movies are duplicate...

Is there a way to remove all the duplicates?

does it happen for video files without the vsmeta file?

No chance to correct this duplicate Problem. Video's without vsmeta Files are duplicate too.

I delete emby complete and reinstall. Now the library scan and it show correct, not duplicate.

I hope the library scanner is robust now. So i don't need this Feature :)

Were you previously running the 3.5 version?

It was Version 4.1.1.0 from Syno Package Center, no previous Version. I came from Plex and Syno Videostation.

Another Question:

I use the LiveTV with m3u file from my provider: www.init7.net/de/support/faq/TV-andere-Geraete  (https://api.init7.net/tvchannels.m3u)

He stream UDP Multicast to my Emby and Emby works fine with this. But is there an Option to "Filter" this massiv m3u File in Emby?

A lot of this Sender i dont realy use...
